the choice he made | Shadow Work Poetry

Past the noise
Under the void
I live in the ocean
I am underground
Forgive and let live
Until the bomb bell sounds
Become something different
Scattered around
I am the choice he made
When he took her as his own
I am the sin she bore
A consequence of insecurity
I am the devil
And I am the god
Pray to me and maybe
I'll let you die
Forgive and let live
Until my heartbeat slows
Become a new sin
Something another man chose
Just past that corridor
To the left of the light
I locked it away
In the middle of the night
I am just a sin
A mistake; pure happenstance
How could anyone love a girl
Afflicted with such a blight?
One day you'll find the key
I am sure, I am certain
And it will burst from my mind
And I will die behind the curtain
