You wanna win the war?

Know what you're fighting for!

~Custer, by Slipknot

They cut you, they fucked you, left you there bleeding on the ground to die. And a part of you did die. You'll never get her back. Lay her to rest. Let her go. Let her be dead and gone. Inhabit the edges and borders - every inch - of this new skin. Feel what it's like to be fully alive, bouncing around in your scarred body with excitement and pride. It is not selfish to survive.

Death is nothing new to you. You've grown unbothered by the cycles themselves; it's the pain, the grief, the labor that you're apprehensive of. You are comfortable with any of the unknown things that cause distress in many of your brothers and sisters. What makes you squirm are the little things, the things I offer to you now which you never had before. I grant you your sovereignty. Your life is yours to live; the ship is yours to steer. But if you never retract your anchors, never hoist your sails, where do you think you're going to get to?

God is not angry with you. You have nothing to be ashamed for. You were born on the battlefield, clutching sword and shield, learning so early not to make a peep, else the monsters find and destroy you. But battles shift and change just as everything else in this world. War strategy evolves. New armors are forged. Find the one that fits and put it on. Retract your anchors and hoist your sails. You have proven that you know what you're doing. It doesn't make it easy, I know. War is never easy, never simple. There are no quick fixes for tyranny.

Perhaps the next battle will be your last. Maybe they will cut you into pieces and feed you to the pigs, then you'll turn into bacon in their bellies! But maybe, just maybe, you've many a battle left in you. Maybe we will win. Let this be the basis for all hope you give into. Do not fall down the rabbit hole of false flags and unrealistic expectations. Let the anticipation of a bloody and difficult victory fill your bones, and march onward.
